ABOUT NIFF

Niff (she/her) is the founder and director of Secret Circus in Philadelphia Pa. She has been coaching aerial arts for over two decades, specializing in progressions, technique, and innovative choreography across a wide range of aerial apparatuses. Known for her “aerial brain,” Niff has a gift for creating and envisioning unique pathways and sequences that challenge and inspire.

With an e-teaching degree from École Nationale de Cirque in Montréal, a teacher trainer with Paperdoll Militia, and experience teaching dancers at the University of the Arts for 8 years, Niff brings both deep technical knowledge and a keen eye for what each student needs to grow. Her approach is grounded in years of study, practice, and a commitment to helping aerialists—whether novice or professional—achieve their goals through thoughtful, progressive instruction.

As a coach and choreographer, Niff is widely sought after for her creativity, clarity, and clear teaching style. Her mission is to cultivate a warm, non-judgmental learning environment that fosters community, builds both physical and emotional strength, and supports the creation of meaningful, expressive art.

ABOUT JENN
Jenn (she/her) enjoys a *charmed* life in the beautiful Creston Valley of British Columbia where she lives with her husband, horses, dogs, and goats. She is a multidisciplinary performance artist, choreographer, and coach. She has entertained audiences and guided students around the world including over 30 US states, China, Italy, Germany, Ireland, Scotland, Austria, Canada, Costa Rica, and Mexico for almost 20 years.

She has spent the better part of her life seeking out the weird, wild, and wonderful places of the west and can’t wait to share this corner of the desert with you.

ABOUT LESLIE

(She/her) Dancing with fire, balancing on stilts, and casting spells in the air — Leslie weaves magic through her performances, captivating audiences from Cirque du Soleil to NFL halftime shows. With the elegance of bellydance, the daredevil spirit of aerial arts, and the hypnotic power of fire and glow, Leslie brings her own brand of enchantment to stages across the globe.
Whether commanding attention as part of The Dark Circus Vaudeville Band, The Black Hearts Society or guiding the Sirens of Serpentine in bellydance, Leslie brings passion, creativity, and a touch of the supernatural to every performance.
As a teacher, Leslie creates an inclusive, body-positive sanctuary where every student is invited to discover their magic. Through movement, connection, and art, she strives to bring the power of beauty and joy to every soul she encounters.
A natural witch from the wilds of Maine, Leslie calls Seattle home—until the next adventure calls her name.

FEEL THE MAGIC

MORE INFO

The aerial portion of the retreat will use utilize TWO spaces:

The Pythian Castle

Four aerial points grace the 18′ ceilings in the Great Room of the Pythian Castle, built in 1905 and considered one of Bisbee’s most iconic buildings. The Castle underwent a complete remodeled in 2016, including the installation of new, super engineered 18″ camlam beams that span the entire length of the structure – the basis of our professionally installed aerial rigging points. The Great Room features plenty of space both in the air and on the ground to explore your craft.

The Castle also serves as the central gathering space for the Supernatural Retreat where you will find shared breakfasts and dinners, spooky movie night, and impromptu conjuring.

Aerie Movement Studio

Located across the street from the Pythian Castle, in the heart of the historic brewery gulch in Old Bisbee, the Aerie Movement Studio is an intimate dance and aerial studio. Incredible natural light, clean furnishings and wall mirrors complement the studio’s six aerial points.

The elevation of Bisbee is approximately 5,500ft, and as any town in the mountains, can receive some unexpected weather. Be sure to check the forecast before packing. A suggested packing list will be sent out before the retreat.

There is no need to rent a car for your week in Bisbee if you are staying in “Old Bisbee”, all of our activities are central to the historic Brewery Gulch. You will likely also find yourself too busy to explore much outside of the very full schedule! If you opt to stay farther from the studios [Pythian – 29 OK St and Aerie Studio – 34A Brewery Ave] than you feel comfortable walking, you can rent a car in Tucson at the airport. There is no Uber in Bisbee.

All shops and cafes will take a credit card. There is no full grocery store in Bisbee, but there is a nice shop with sundries and snacks.
